The SCDMV Express kiosk at the Publix at Thornblade Village in Greer relocated to the Publix at Poplar Springs Plaza, 2153 East Main St, Duncan, SC 29334, in Spartanburg County as of Tuesday, July 14. Customers can continue to use the kiosks in Columbia and Summerville, or complete transactions online.

Heritage Classic Foundation

The Heritage Classic Foundation license plate is available for private passenger vehicles. A portion of the fees collected for the plate go to the Heritage Classic Foundation. The fee is $75 every two years in addition to the regular biennial registration fee. You may also get a personalized version of the plate that contains letters or numbers or both and the “&” symbol. Text is limited to six characters including spaces and will be granted based on availability. The personalized version of this plate is available by mail in only. The fee to get this plate personalized includes $30 personalization fee and $75 special plate fee in addition to regular registration fee.

Farm Vehicle

Having this license plates mean the vehicle is used exclusively for agricultural, horticultural, and dairy operations or livestock and poultry raising. If the farm vehicle has an empty weight of less than 7,500 pounds it may be used for general and domestic purpose but cannot be used for hire. The fee is determined by weight.

SC Ancient Free and Accepted Masons

To apply for a South Carolina Ancient Free and Accepted Masons license plate, you must present a current dues card from a Masonic Lodge or a letter from a Masonic Lodge Secretary authorizing an honorary member or any person duly authorized by that officer to purchase a plate. The fee for the plate is $30 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee.

Personalized Disabled Plate

This license plate is available to people who meet the requirements for a plate for a person with a disability and would like to personalize it. First-time applications must be handled by mail using the Application for Personalized Disabled Plate (SCDMV Form MV-96A). The number of letters or numbers are limited to seven. The only symbol you may use is “&”. Blank spaces are counted as one letter or number.

The fee for the plate is $30 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee. Vehicles with a personalized disabled license plate are exempt from the payment of municipal parking meter fees (SC Code of Laws 56-3-1965) and are allowed to park in designated handicapped parking spaces.
