This license plate fee is $40 every two years in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration fee. A portion of the fees collected for the Play Tennis! license plate go to the South Carolina Tennis Patrons Foundation for scholarships, junior player grants, and programs for at-risk youth. The cost for the plate is $30 every two years in addition to the regular registration fees.
