The SCDMV offers training sessions designed for automobile dealership employees who complete vehicle titling and registration documents for customers. These sessions cover:
- Accurately completing the Title Application (SCDMV Form 400)
- Verifying an application package is complete without errors, including all required documents
- Indicating the correct odometer mileage and odometer brands on the application and supporting paperwork
- Computing gross vehicle weight rates for property-carrying vehicles
- Handling title reassignment errors
Please note that this training is not required for obtaining a dealer license. For more information about becoming a licensed dealer, contact the Business License Unit at (803) 896-2611.
