The Virginia Tech license plate is sponsored by the Virginia Tech Alumni Association. Proceeds from the plate will be used for scholarships. The cost for the plate is $70 every two years in addition to the regular registration fees. You must submit a completed Application for Special Plate (SCDMV Form MV-95) along with required fees.
